Individual parent consultation is offered for any parent who has decided to stop tolerating the drains of negative family interactions. Stress, shouting and frustrations do not have to be a part of your everyday family experience. A parent consultant will provide you with tools, techniques and positive, loving strategies to help you create the family life you want.
Parent consultation is not about treatment or therapy. The focus is on the present and defining goals for your family. It's about learning new strategies to ensure lasting solutions and respectful, loving relationships with your children. Consultation is generally short term, from 1 to 4 sessions. The cost is $50 per one hour session.
Workshops and Seminars
Workshops are regularly held at Stepping Stones Center for Education and Development or can be held on-site at your facility. Topics can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your group. Workshops focus on empowering parents, teachers and caregivers to see the communication in negative behavior. With a new perspective, families and professionals will confidently respond to behavior with less stress, more humor, and a positive attitude. Fee is $100 per hour for an on-site workshop. Additional fee for sites greater than 20 miles from Stepping Stones Center for Education and Development.
